Close to his slumber, he looks towards the never-ending sky, listening to his favourite tunes, wondering what could have been if he had done it differently. Unfortunately that question could never be answered, as deep down he knew, those choices had been lost and forgotten in time, he only had the future to look forward to. He knew the memories he had gained in the past still haunt him and terrify him as he had treasured it. Those memories were the days where he had been genuinely happy, yet seeing her face again gives him a heartache. He knew it was his fault, he knew that if he had just thought, things would have been different. Maybe he wouldn’t be such an idiot. An idiot with passionate glaze, wondering, deep in thought of his next move, weeping, relishing, and forgetting. Yet, the thought of him giving up didn’t seem so appealing either. So, he pushed and went for it, chasing for the moment to rise again. For a while, he had finally regained his motivation, his strive, his will to keep moving. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. He was stopped dead in his tracks, forcing him to stagnate, pressuring him to improve yet he couldn’t. Years spent in a small cage, keeping him awake at night. Then suddenly, he broke it. His insomnia had been cured almost miraculously. He was lucky, he had found someone that truly made him happy. He had found someone that encouraged him to keep pressing on in this cruel world. That someone became his motivation and had filled a deep rooted scar. He is finally free from his chains to pursue a life beyond his own. The future awaits.
