Lunar Rays

An illusion of beauty,

Basking at the midst

Of darkness.

Its light

Reaches the earth,

Reflecting its empty shell.

Its loving gaze,

Fixated on the living.

It sings a chilly lullaby,

Serenading them to sleep.

The lunar rays

Shine brilliantly,

As the stars fade out,

Leaving a blackened void,

For us to enthrall.

Still, the luna shines,

Unwavering and majestic,

Illuminating a path

Of no return
