A man with the world in his hands
Tainted by his own ambition and ideal,
Entitled to a future moulded by him.
The man sees no limit to his potential,
Yet his peers doubt him, mocking him.
A woman with a light in her eyes,
Holding a torch to her face,
Melting off her insecurity and courage.
She feels no pain, and no shame,
Her mask is unharmed, and her soul unwound.
The child sees no one but himself,
He screams and cries, innocently.
The child is calmed with material,
And is unfazed by compassion.
The child awaits an undeserved reward.
