A snowy veil, covers the city
Making all hate seem so gritty.
A melody strings the air,
Carolling through their wear.
A heart-felt waltz, Joyful and cheery,
Filling up our hearts with merry.
We indulge in their singing,
To escape a life of working.
The crowd gathers and listens,
Sharing the life of innocence.
The words foster compassion,
In return, the light of passion.
On Christmas night, our fears
Leaves our lives in tears.
For just one night.
