A Winter Night

The Winter moon rises in the dead of night,

Illuminating the world of its savagery.

A howl in the wind signals a hunt,

Followed by bloodshed and lust.

A trail of humans leads to a tower of cinder.

The scent grows stronger with each step.

A merry of people, singing and dancing,

Drunk with joy and tipsy with hunger,

Throwing their fears to the fire.

The snow covered land, undisturbed and pure,

Bringing on serenity to its inhabitants.

A childlike innocence sings through the air,

As the snowflakes fall majestically.

The moon reigns supreme in this realm,

Giving life to its children.
