The Umbrella

Torrential rains,

Blazing sunshine.

An umbrella clouds

His eagerness.

Shielding him from

The knives pointing at him.

The umbrella bleeds,

Shielding him from every harm,

Yet it stands,

Strong and willed,

Unfazed by the terror.

The child smiles brightly,

Revelling every day.

He holds the umbrella,

Proudly and happily.
